1. Purpose of the App
Therapy Notebook is a digital notebook designed to support note-taking and session organization during therapy, counseling, and similar professional meetings.
The app does not provide healthcare services and is not a substitute for professional judgment. It is not a diagnosis, treatment, clinical decision-making, crisis management, or emergency intervention tool.
Appropriate local emergency services should be contacted in an emergency.
2. Professional and Legal Responsibility
Users are responsible for:
- Using the app within their professional competence
- Complying with applicable laws and professional ethics
- Meeting confidentiality and record-keeping obligations
- Obtaining any required notices and consents
- Ensuring that entered information is accurate and lawfully processed
- Protecting their device, Apple Account, app lock, exported files, and backups
Therapy Notebook does not determine whether a user’s professional use complies with the laws or regulations applicable in their country or region.
3. License
You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use Therapy Notebook for personal or professional purposes on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to Apple’s Usage Rules.
The app is licensed, not sold.
4. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Use the app for unlawful purposes
- Violate the privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual property rights of another person
- Attempt to bypass the app’s security features
- Interfere with or disrupt the app’s operation
- Copy, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially resell the app
- Reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code, except where expressly permitted by mandatory law
5. Subscriptions
Premium features may be offered through monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscriptions.
The applicable price, currency, billing period, and any free-trial eligibility are displayed on Apple’s confirmation screen before purchase.
Payment is charged to the user’s Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
Users can manage or cancel subscriptions through their Apple Account subscription settings.
Apple determines eligibility for introductory offers and free trials. Eligibility may be limited to one introductory offer per subscription group.
Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
Refund requests are subject to Apple’s policies and processes.
6. Restoring Purchases
Users may restore an eligible subscription on another device by using the same Apple Account and selecting “Restore Purchases” within the app.
Successful restoration depends on Apple’s StoreKit and App Store services.
7. Data Storage and Apple Services
Therapy Notebook may use local device storage and, when enabled by the user, Apple services such as:
- iCloud
- Apple Calendar
- Photos and Camera
- Keychain
- StoreKit and the App Store
These services depend on device settings, network availability, Apple Account status, and Apple’s service availability. Their use is also subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

8. Backups and Data Loss
Users are responsible for maintaining secure and legally appropriate backups of important records.
Internet interruption, device loss, insufficient storage, iCloud settings, operating-system issues, service changes, software errors, or user deletion may result in temporary loss of access or permanent data loss.
No backup or synchronization system can guarantee that data will always be available, complete, or recoverable.
9. Exported and Shared Content
Users are responsible for protecting PDFs, photographs, calendar records, and other content exported or shared from the app.
Once content leaves Therapy Notebook through sharing, printing, calendar synchronization, or another service, it may be governed by the security and privacy practices of the selected destination.
10. Service Availability
Subject to mandatory consumer rights, Therapy Notebook is provided “as is” and “as available.”
The provider does not guarantee that the app will always operate without interruption, errors, data loss, or compatibility issues, or that every feature will remain available on every device or operating-system version.
The app and its features may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued where reasonably necessary.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of or inability to use the app, including loss of data, loss of business, or interruption of professional activity.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Intellectual Property
Therapy Notebook, including its software, design, branding, visual assets, and original content, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of the app or its intellectual property to the user.
Users retain responsibility for and any rights they hold in the content they create within the app.
13. Termination
Users may stop using Therapy Notebook at any time by deleting the app. Active subscriptions must be canceled separately through Apple Account subscription settings.
Access may be restricted where required because of unlawful use, a material breach of these Terms, security concerns, or legal obligations.
14. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when the app’s features, services, or legal obligations change.
The revised effective date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
